The subject of the contract is the supply and installation of “smart city” and “sustainable mobility” systems and platform in the Municipality of Orestiada in the framework of the implementation of Subproject 8 of the Act entitled “Open Shopping Centre of the Municipality of Orestiada” which has been included in the Operational Programme “Competitiveness, Entrepreneurship and Innovation 2014-2020” under the NSRF 2014-2020.

Specifically, the project includes the following:

Controlled parking system
Electric vehicle charging stations
Sensors for measuring the fullness of a bucket
Smart city central platform for the collection, processing and visualization of data from different subsystems
Colour electronic signage using LED technology
Infokiosk
Web portal system for displaying ‘smart city’ and ‘smart sustainable mobility’ data to citizens
Mobile application (Android & iOS) to inform citizens about smart city and smart sustainable mobility services
Pilot operation services
Training services
Citizens have – through smart infrastructure data presentation applications – the possibility to view useful information collected through the network of smart sensors installed in the city’s Open Shopping Centre, which is based on Internet of Things (IoT) technologies.

The immediate objective of the action of creating and exploiting the Open Shopping Centre (ACP) is to strengthen and stimulate the economic activity that is developing in the commercial area of the city.

The aim, of the project is the modernization of the center and the continuous upgrading of the municipality through the use of new technological means that will improve the management and functionality of the urban environment, as well as the daily life of the citizens and visitors.
