The project includes the procurement of smart city and sustainable mobility systems.

The system will consist in detail of the following:

❖ Parking Control System

❖ Wireless Internet Access System (free wifi spots)

❖ System for checking the fullness of bins

❖ Supply of two (2) electric vehicle charging stations

❖ Supply of two (2) digital signs

❖ Development of one (1) single platform for smart city and sustainable mobility

❖ Development of one (1) single smart city application for iOS and Android mobile phones

The benefits of the action are expected to be multiple. More specifically, controlled parking will ensure easy accessibility for residents to the area and facilitate their movements within the area, while reducing nuisance and pollution. In addition, the supply and installation of smart systems contribute to greater pedestrian safety and better vehicle flow, while adding to the image of a modern city in the commercial area. The installation of electric vehicle chargers also contributes to the same, promoting electrification for the municipality and citizens. The bin fullness control system, as well as the use of the electric bus, enable the Municipality to save resources and reduce pollution, with direct benefits to the quality of life of the citizens.
