Lamia's Smart City Platform
The aim of the project is to strengthen and stimulate economic activity developed in commercial areas and in particular in areas with significant tourist and cultural resources.
To achieve this objective, the Municipality has implemented a set of coherent and interrelated interventions aimed at upgrading the functionality and aesthetics of the public space and the organisation of economic activity.
The objective of the project is the provision of an intelligent system for counting visitors entering the Open Shopping Centre, a system of information stations and a smart remote management platform. This is a system that counts visitors as they enter or leave the site. The smart counting system enables businesses in the area to know the average time visitors spend on the premises.
The project aims to bring many benefits both in terms of ease of access and circulation to the intervention area, resulting in a boost to commercial activity, and wider benefits in terms of stimulating commercial activity in the intervention area.
It is aimed at benefits that have to do with the identification of peak days and hours, the identification of the number of people circulating in the intervention area and the number of sales that take place.
